John Pesek for Judge

Rogers Attorney John Pesek is running for the Benton County, Arkansas Circuit Court, Division Five.
The nonpartisan judicial election is March 3, 2026.

John Pesek believes that a judge should be a servant of the law and a protector of the people’s trust.

He knows that true justice comes from being humble, not from having power. A good judge isn’t a hero chasing after what they think is right or fair — they follow the law as it is written.

With a conservative judicial philosophy, one rooted in judicial restraint - not activism, John is seeking Division Five. This Division hears the same sorts of cases John has been handling for his entire career.

A lifelong resident of Northwest Arkansas and graduate of Rogers High School, John is proud to call this community home. He now lives in Bentonville with his wife, Tabitha, and their four children, raising his family in the same region that shaped his values.

Today, John serves the City of Rogers, Arkansas, as Senior Staff Attorney and Director of the Legal Department. He provides legal advice to City Department Heads, the Mayor, and the City Council. He also works with the City's boards and commissions to make sure the community follows the law.

John is also the City Prosecutor, representing Rogers and its law enforcement in criminal and civil cases in Rogers District Court. In addition to his full-time job, he teaches State and Local Government Law at the University of Arkansas School of Law.

Before working for the City, John was in-house counsel for a property management company, overseeing legal matters for over 165 apartment complexes and houses in five states. He understands the importance of having quality, affordable housing in the community.

In private practice, John worked in state and federal courts at the Henry Law Firm in Fayetteville, handling complex business cases. Before that, he worked in Little Rock at a top defense firm and for the Little Rock City Attorney’s Office, where he served as a Special Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, holding criminals accountable.

John remains actively involved in both the legal and local community as a member of the Arkansas City Attorney’s Association, the International Municipal Lawyers Association, the Benton County Bar Association, and the Arkansas Bar Association.

He is a former board member of the Down Syndrome Connection of Northwest Arkansas, currently serves as treasurer of his Property Owners’ Association, and is a member of St. Stephens Church in Bentonville.

Beyond the courtroom, John’s greatest role is that of husband and father. He and his wife are raising four children — daughters Lucy and Rosie, and sons Dean and Gavin. Whether he’s cheering on football games, supporting theater performances, playing driveway basketball, or training for one of the many marathons and races he competes in, John brings the same dedication to his family that he brings to his public service.

With a conservative judicial philosophy rooted in restraint and the rule of law, John Pesek is ready to serve Benton County with integrity, humility, and fairness.
